Hans Overduin (1970) studied Business Administration (MScBA) in Rotterdam at the Erasmus University. At the time he was an active rock climber and started working on a part time basis at a Bever Zwerfsport store. After finishing his studies in 1994,  he started working full time as Senior Buyer Hardware in the same company. In 2004, he got his second master degree, in Organisational Psychology. He took on the position of Buying Director, and became an active member of the core management of the company in the same year. During his time at Bever Zwerfsport,  he was involved – among other things – in the start-up of Sportsnett in Norway, founding the Eurofamily (a pan-european partnership of high-end outdoor retailers) and took an active role in the development, sourcing and production of the outdoor brands Meru and Kaikkialla. From spring 2010 until spring 2011, Hans enjoyed a ‘sabbatical’ and focused on his main interests: traveling and (wildlife) photography. From 2011-2016 Hans worked as a Senior Associate for the Messe München GmbH (Munich, Germany) and freelanced as a consultant inside and outside  the sporting goods industry. From 2016-2019 Hans worked at Studiekring (Utrecht) as a CEO and Director School Relations. In 2019, he resumed his role as freelance consultant and Senior Associate for Messe München (Germany) / ISPO.

As a parallel career Hans is an avid (wildlife) photographer. His work is published internationally and from September – November 2015 he had an exhibition of his bird photos at the Bolinas Art Museum (Bolinas, California – United States). He co-wrote the (Dutch) ‘Handboek Vogelfotografie’ which was published in 2021. In 2022 he worked together with two other photographers on  ‘The World Exposed’, a 240 pages, high-quality-print coffee table book which was released the same year. His photo work is represented by Nature in Stock.
